Housing Assistance

This Service offers realty services by collaborating with various realty models to identify and locate affordable housing for clients. It allows people of the community to find housing. Our housing agent consults with various landlords in the community and finds eligible applicants for their vacant units.

For clients in our case management system, we will provide assistance with pre-screening, transportation and mediation as well as assistance with removing minor violations (such as window guard installation, smoke detectors, locks, etc.) to make a unit or potential client more “prep-ready” and increase their accessibility.

Within this Scope of service we also offer short-term placements for those who are in emergent need of housing. Those enrolled in this program are often those who are in our
IMRI program. We offer a one-month period of upkeep for the client so they may be able to do job and permanent housing search for themselves.

REO is a privately operated Realty firm that was brought under management by H.O.P.E. (a not-for-profit arm of New Dimensions In Care which was developed specifically to meet the housing needs of the exigent) in 2001. Currently we work with approximately fifteen landlords and various Realty firms and Real Estate Developers.

REO is a licensed Realty agency that is registered with the NYC housing authority as a registered agent. We are also registered with the New York State Board of Realtors. In addition, we are knowledgeable regarding new initiative and incentives emanating from various public service systems.
